A Note From Kendra
I'd like to ask you six questions.
Not the kind you're usually asked. Not about your résumé, your accomplishments, or your plans. These are questions about the parts of yourself that don't often get named out loud. The things you know to be true that the world doesn't always see.
The Project
Six Questions With is an independent interview series built around a simple premise: every participant answers the same six questions. No exceptions based on who you are, what you do, or how well-known you are. The questions don't change. The format doesn't change. What changes is the person answering.
The questions are designed to get at something honest. Not a polished version of yourself, but the version that exists when you're not performing for anyone. They ask about misunderstanding, about recognition, about what grounds you. They're the kind of questions that take a little time to sit with before you answer.
Your answers are published exactly as you write them. No editing, no reframing, no editorial spin. The only thing I correct is a typo. What you say is what appears.

Why I'm reaching out
I'm reaching out to a small group of people I believe would answer these questions honestly. People who have something real to say and the self-awareness to say it. You're one of them.
This is the inaugural group. The series is just getting started, and the people who participate now are the ones who will shape what it becomes. I'm not looking for a particular background or a particular story. I'm looking for people willing to be straightforward about their own experience.
There's no interview, no back-and-forth, no performance required. You answer six questions in writing, at your own pace, in your own words. That's it.
What to expect

Sent to you privately once you agree to participate. You'll have as much time as you need.
Written answers
No calls, no recordings, no live interview. You write your answers in your own time.
Your words, unchanged
What you write is what gets published. I won't reframe or reinterpret anything.
A portrait
A photo of you, your choice of image, alongside your answers on the published page.
A published page
Your interview lives permanently on the site, with your name, your answers, and however you'd like to be reached.
